Prague is starting to use contactless payment technologies in trams. Mikroelektronika, a partner of Terminal Technologies, install validators in two trams on route 22. The project is still in test mode – the Prague transport authority is going to assess the demand for this technology.
The validator that accepts contactless Bank cards is the result of a joint project of Mikroelektronika, Terminal Technologies, MasterCard and CSOB Bank. Terminal Technologies specialists have successfully implemented the POS terminal functionality in Mikroelektronika transport validator.
